soundParty turns the phones at your party into one sound system. You press play, friends join with a code, and everybody hears the same beat at the same moment — through their phone or whatever speaker it’s connected to.

One phone hosts. It plays a track from its own library and the others follow it over your Wi-Fi. Every guest phone measures how far it is from the host and corrects itself, so the room hears one song rather than an echo.
The host shows a QR code and a short code you can read aloud across a room. No sign-up on either side.
The room lists everyone in it with their gap to the host in milliseconds. If a phone has nothing to report yet, it says so.
Chat, guests pausing or skipping for everyone, and guests saving a copy of the track are each a switch the host controls.
The host picks a video and each phone opens it in YouTube’s own player, kept in step. Nothing is ripped or downloaded.

No app can split one phone’s Bluetooth audio across several speakers — Android keeps that switch for itself. Playing on more than one speaker is always set up by your phone’s system or by the speakers. soundParty checks what you have, tells you which of these routes is open to you, and takes you to the right setting.
Recent phones can broadcast to any number of Auracast speakers at once. soundParty checks that both your phone and your speakers can do it before sending you to Quick Settings.
Samsung Galaxy phones can play to two Bluetooth speakers together. It’s a system toggle; soundParty points you to it.
Many speakers link to each other with a button — JBL PartyBoost, Sony Party Connect and the like. Works with any phone.
soundParty never shows a connection it can’t see. If the system reports one speaker, the app says one. If your speakers are linked to each other, it says they told it so — not that it checked.
Even with nobody else around, soundParty is a full music and video player for the files already on your phone.

There is no account and no soundParty server holding your music, your messages or your name. Parties run directly between the phones on your Wi-Fi. The privacy policy has the detail.
Not by itself, and no other app can either. Android doesn’t let apps send audio to more than one Bluetooth speaker. What soundParty does is check your phone and speakers, tell you whether Auracast, Dual Audio or a speaker party link will work for you, and take you to the setting. For a big room, a party across several phones, each on its own speaker, is usually the louder answer.
No. A party needs every phone on the same Wi-Fi network or hotspot, because the music travels directly from the host’s phone to the guests. Internet is only needed for YouTube and for ads.
Close enough that a room hears one song. Each guest phone measures its own gap to the host and corrects it, and the figure is on screen so you don’t have to take our word for it. A Bluetooth speaker adds its own delay; soundParty compensates, and there’s a trim control in Settings for a speaker that’s slower than most.
No. soundParty plays audio and video files stored on the host’s phone, and YouTube videos through YouTube’s own player. Streaming services don’t allow other apps to re-send their music.
Never. In a party, each phone plays the video in the official YouTube player and soundParty only keeps the players in step. YouTube audio doesn’t play in the background.
If the host switches it on, a guest can keep a copy of the track the host is playing from their own library. It’s off until the host allows it. Only share music you have the right to share.
Android comes first. An iPhone version isn’t available yet.
Everything soundParty stores is on your phone, so clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling it removes it. The data deletion page walks through it, including the advertising data Google holds.
