Both phones must be on the same Wi-Fi network or on the host’s hotspot. Mobile data on one phone and Wi-Fi on the other won’t work. Some public and office networks block phones from talking to each other; try a home network or a hotspot. If a VPN is on, switch it off for the party.

Give it ten seconds after joining to settle. If it’s playing through a Bluetooth speaker, the speaker adds its own delay. Open Settings, then Audio sync, on that phone and trim it by ear until it lines up with the others.

soundParty shows the speakers your phone has paired with; it doesn’t pair them itself. Tap “Add a speaker” to open your phone’s Bluetooth settings, pair the speaker there, and come back. If you denied the Nearby devices permission, allow it in your phone’s Settings, then Apps, then soundParty, then Permissions.

That’s the app being straight with you. Playing on several Bluetooth speakers needs an Auracast phone with Auracast speakers, a Samsung phone with Dual Audio, or speakers that link to each other. If you have none of those, start a party across several phones and give each phone its own speaker.

YouTube’s player doesn’t allow autoplay on phones, so each person taps the red play button once. After that soundParty keeps everyone in step. If someone taps “Watch on YouTube” they leave the party player; come back to soundParty and tap “Watch along”.

Ads come from Google and sometimes none is available for your region at that moment. Check your connection and try again a little later. Your progress so far is kept.
